Mostly value and character. Cádiz has the same climate as the coast an hour east, but far less development, so the countryside is genuinely rural and venue prices are noticeably lower for the same standard. If you want photographs that look like Andalucía rather than a resort, this is the province for it.

Gibraltar is the closest to the eastern side of the province and often under an hour from the venue, though it has fewer routes. Málaga has by far the most flights and is around an hour and a half from Sotogrande. Jerez sits in the province itself and is convenient for the north and west, and Seville is roughly two hours. We usually suggest guests price up Gibraltar and Málaga and take whichever works.

Yes. Some venues are licensed for civil ceremonies and others are not, so it is one of the first things we check. There is paperwork involved for foreign couples marrying in Spain, and the requirements vary with nationality and residency. We go through it with you well ahead of the date.

May, June, September and early October. Daytime highs sit between 23 and 27 degrees, the evenings are warm enough to eat outside, and you avoid the peak of July and August, when it reaches 30 and above. April and late October are lovely too, with a little more chance of rain.

It can be on the Atlantic side. The Levante blows along the Costa de la Luz around Tarifa, which is exactly why the kitesurfers go there. It is rarely a problem inland or around Sotogrande, but we always check the aspect and shelter of an outdoor ceremony space before recommending it.

Often, yes. Many Cádiz venues are country fincas or small hotels rather than pure event spaces, so exclusive use frequently includes the rooms. That changes the shape of the whole weekend: no transfers at midnight, and breakfast together the morning after.

Twelve to eighteen months for a summer Saturday, and longer if you have your heart set on a particular venue. Exclusive-use properties hold fewer weddings a year than hotels do, so the good dates go early.

Venue hire on an exclusive-use basis usually runs between €5,000 and €10,000, and a wedding of around a hundred guests commonly lands between €28,000 and €40,000 all in. Where you fall depends on the season, the venue, your menu and how much styling you want. We build you an itemised budget before you commit to anything.

That is most of what we do. We are based in Spain, we know the venues and suppliers personally, and we handle the viewings, the quotes, the contracts and the day itself. You can be as involved as you want to be, and we will not ask you to fly out for things that do not need you.
