Your wedding in Málaga, beautifully planned

Málaga is one of the most loved wedding destinations in Europe, and it is where our team is based. With more than 325 days of sunshine a year and around 150 kilometres of Costa del Sol coastline, the province offers everything from glamorous beach clubs and five-star resorts to rustic fincas, hilltop haciendas and historic city settings, all within easy reach of Málaga Airport.

Whether you picture a barefoot ceremony by the Mediterranean, a private villa with sea and mountain views, or a celebration in the heart of the old city, we will help you find and secure the perfect venue and take care of every detail.

Timing

Best time of year and day to marry in Málaga

The Costa del Sol has one of the longest wedding seasons in Europe, running from April to October. Late spring and early autumn are the sweet spot, with warm, sunny days and none of the peak-summer heat. Here are the average daytime highs across the season.

Our couples' favourite months. July and August are glorious but hot, so we plan plenty of shade and evening celebrations.

The best time of day

Under the Andalusian sun, timing matters. In high summer the sun is at its fiercest from around 1pm to 4pm, so a midday ceremony in an open, shadeless spot can be uncomfortable for you and your guests.

We usually plan the ceremony for the late afternoon, when the heat softens and the light turns golden, then let the celebration flow naturally into the evening. The best venues book up early too, so we recommend starting to plan twelve to eighteen months ahead where you can.

  • 5:30pm
    Ceremony

Softer light and cooler air as the fierce midday sun begins to drop.

  • 6:30pm
    Drinks & canapés

Golden-hour photographs while your guests relax and mingle.

  • 8:00pm
    Dinner at sunset

Al fresco dining as the sky turns pink over the coast.

  • 10:00pm
    Dancing under the stars

The party comes alive in the cool of the evening.

Budget

How much does a Málaga wedding cost?

It depends on your guest numbers, your choice of venue and the style of celebration, and we plan across a wide range of budgets. As a broad guide, venue hire on the Costa del Sol typically ranges from around €6,000 to €10,000 for the day, with a full wedding for roughly 100 guests often falling between €28,000 and €35,000.

Common questions

Málaga wedding FAQs

What is the most popular area to get married in Málaga?

+

The Costa del Sol is comfortably the most popular, with Marbella at its heart. Its glamorous villas, beach clubs and five-star hotels, along with easy access from Málaga Airport, make it a firm favourite. Nearby Estepona, Mijas, Benalmádena and Fuengirola are also much loved, as is Málaga city itself.

Can we get married on the beach in Málaga?

+

Yes. The Costa del Sol has beautiful beaches and stylish beach clubs in Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola and beyond, ideal for barefoot ceremonies and seafront receptions. We handle any permits or arrangements and match the beach to the look and privacy you want.

Are there castle or historic venues in Málaga?

+

There are. Málaga is rich in history, from the Arabic architecture and Mediterranean views of Málaga city's own settings to the fairytale Colomares Castle in Benalmádena. For rustic character, the fincas, cortijos and haciendas of the countryside are full of Andalusian charm.

How far are the venues from Málaga Airport?

+

Wonderfully close. Málaga Airport sits right on the coast, so most Costa del Sol venues are within about twenty to fifty minutes, making travel easy for you and your guests. It is one of the best-connected airports in southern Spain.

When is the best time to get married in Málaga?

+

Late spring and early autumn are ideal, with warm, sunny days without the peak-summer heat. That said, the season runs from April to October, and even mild winter weddings are possible. We plan around your date and help you choose the right time of day.

Do you cover the whole Málaga province?

+

Yes. As a Marbella-based team, we plan weddings right across the province, from the Costa del Sol resorts to Málaga city, the mountain town of Ronda, the countryside around Antequera and the coastal villages of the Axarquía such as Nerja.

What day trips would you recommend for guests?

+

Some of our favourites are the dramatic clifftop town of Ronda and its famous gorge, the whitewashed village of Frigiliana and the Nerja Caves to the east, and the golden beaches all along the Costa del Sol. For guests staying a little longer, Granada and the Alhambra, or the city of Seville, make unforgettable days out.

Can you arrange activities or excursions for our group?

+

Absolutely. We can organise anything from welcome dinners and beach days to boat trips, golf, wine tasting, flamenco evenings and guided city tours, so your guests have a wonderful time around the wedding itself. Just tell us what your group would enjoy and we will take care of it.

Which is the best location for a mountain view wedding?

+

For dramatic mountain backdrops, we love Ronda, perched above its famous gorge, and the hillside fincas and haciendas above Marbella and Mijas, where you can enjoy both sea and mountain views. The countryside towards Antequera is beautiful too.

How far in advance should we book?

+

We recommend twelve to eighteen months ahead where you can, especially for weekend dates in peak season, as the best venues and suppliers book up early. That said, we regularly plan beautiful Málaga weddings on shorter timelines.

Can you plan our wedding if we live in the UK or Ireland?

+

Absolutely, and most of our couples do exactly that. We handle everything on the ground, arrange virtual and in-person viewings, and keep you updated at every step, so planning from home is never a barrier.

Do you help with the legal paperwork and translations?

+

Yes. We guide you through the options, help you gather and translate the right documents, and connect you with celebrants and officiants we trust. As requirements can change, we always confirm the current rules with the local authorities.

What exactly do you look after on the day?

+

Everything. We run the schedule, coordinate every supplier, manage the timings and quietly handle anything that comes up, so you and your guests can simply relax and enjoy the celebration from start to finish.
